I have been going to Lucky Pick since it opened in the fall of 2010 for all of my guitar repairs. Keirn does great work. I have had the best work on my guitars through my many years of playing and I now consider myself very fortunate to have found Keirn. He knows guitars inside and out as well as the many other stringed instrument that he works on.
I have been completely satisfied with all of the work he has done on many of my guitars. I find him to be very dedicated, experienced, meticulous and very knowledgeable about all of the work that he does!

I brought in my first Strat (2008 Squier strat) to Keirn for a setup. I had never owned or played a strat before and I had no clue how things with it worked. All I knew was that it kept going out of tune when I used the whammy bar.

Keirn not only took great care in fixing the guitar, he also took the time to show me a thing or 5 about technique with the guitar. I have been able to apply that knowledge to my playing on all of my guitars but it made my Strat playing especially better.

Sadly, I had to sell that guitar. But I'm getting another Strat next week (2006 Mex Strat in Creamy White) so I'll be making a return trip soon!

Well it's 6 down and about 17 to go. Keirn was the best recommendation by a fellow guitarist, Thanks Adam, he not only made my 3 Les Paul's, my MIM Strat, my Burns BM-01, and 12 string Takamine feel and play the best they've done in years, but he also taught me that I had always used the wrong gauge strings. I truly enjoy my visits to his shop because he always has something great to teach you, or show you. Keirn your work and advise are superb..!!! See ya soon.

Keirn gives you 110% on every job. He has taken care of my Les Paul Supreme for 4 years now and really keeps her in the best playing condition possible. Listen to his advice, He knows what he is taking about. You do not.

Your a genious. My PRS has never played better. And, the work that you did to my Ibanez artist--new pick-ups,split coils, piezo acoustic bridge, bigsby trem... and the set-up----this guitar is like gold. sounds and plays unbelievably well. It's comparitive to my PRS and is actually more versitle. THANKS

Keirn,

Thank you for taking a look at my Gibson ES-347 and setting up my Epi ES-175 today.

I've always enjoyed working with you, ever since your days as a lead tech at a local well-known music store.

You've always spent the time to listen and understand my questions. Your advice has always been fantastic and you've never steered me in the wrong direction.

Besides your refreshing honesty, your years of experience and masterful skill with guitars caused me to search and find you in your Frederick location.

I find that a visit to your shop is time well spent. I'll be back!

Thanks again and best wishes.

Andy

As it turns out,Keirn's work on lap steels is every bit as expert & thorough as it has been on the standard 6-string guitars I've taken to his shop.Recently I brought him an 8-string steel which had an unevenly slotted nut. He noticed that the bridge had pulled forward, and also that the pickup was sitting too low. When I got my lap steel back, the change in volume, tone and playability was impressive! And his bill was impressively low.
Keirn has become my go-to guy for lap steel modification and repair. He's worked on 3 for me so far-- vintage as well as modern. Quality work & a very fair price-- I'll cheerfully make the drive from Silver Spring to Frederick!

I brought my vintage 1970 National ME-40 multi-wah pedal to The Lucky Pick to have it looked at. Within 15 minutes it was fixed and working as it was designed. I have NEVER had such fast and accurate service in all my time in this guitar game. Thanks Keirn!

(11) Keirn has done some amazing work refinishing/modding a few of my guitars (see avatar - that was a Butterscotch Squier Vintage Modified Jazzmaster) and I'm a very satisfied customer!

I came to Keirn for some fret work on my Carvin Cobalt acoustic. Within minutes he was able to fix the problem. I ended up having him build me a new saddle and adjust all the frets. My guitar plays the best it has in its whole life.

Great service, great guy, incredible attention to detail, absolute master of his craft. I will definitely come to Lucky Pick Guitars for all of my guitar/bass needs.

Thanks Keirn!

Well, you have exceeded all expections...again! I handed you a bunch of parts, and you returned, what has got to be, one of the best sounding and best looking Strats on the east coast. The sugestion of the 57/62 pickups give it a classic sound, but the real head turner has to be the finish work and adaptation of the tele neck to the pocket of the strat body. FLAWLESS!
The black single ply gaurd, black screws, black pup covers, really set off the dark burst body. Sinister, but elegant. Thanks
again for the attention to detail. You've given me a one-of-a-kind instrument to be proud of. I hope you are proud of it as well. The Hagstrom is next. (oh dear!)
Gary

Thank you Gary!

It makes me happy to know that you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed building it for you. It does have a sinister look about it doesn't it?

Enjoy and I look forward to our next project!

Oh hey, if you have the means to do so, post a picture of it for folks to see.

AMAZING FRETWORK! Unparalleled attention to detail. Worth every penny. I essentially dropped off a hunk of wood which used to be my first guitar I ever owned. They did such good work, it has become my primary player again. Thank you guys so much, and I'll have more work for you soon.

Well, thank you Gary. One of my desires has always been to provide quality and timely work at a fair price. I wish also to offer the type of personalized services to clients of the kind which are not always available in higher volume sales centers. As always Gary, I look forward to your next visit and project.
