Keirn has done a masterful job with everything I have ever brought to him. He is a true craftsman. I had a split in the wood on my Martin D-18 acoustic and he repaired it wonderfully. You can't tell that it was ever a problem. Beautiful job! He also installed fret markers on my 12 String guitar that look amazing! I highly recommend him for any and all repairs, setups, and other work that you may require. He is a master luthier!

(34) Lucky Pick (Keirn) installed a new bone nut on my made-in-Korea, left-handed Epiphone Les Paul copy to replace the plastic piece or crap that it came with (it would be an insult to real Gibson Les Pauls everywhere not to call this guitar a copy). I provided Keirn with a nut I had shaped from a blank, but didn't want to risk cutting the string slots myself and screw it up. He cut the string slots on the nut perfectly and installed it (see picture), installed new strings, adjusted the neck truss-rod, and set-up the action and intonation. All for a lousy $35! I was so pleased with the work I threw in an extra $20. He turned a piece of junk into a great playing, surprisingly good sounding instrument. I am very pleased with the quality of workmanship, and would recommend Lucky Pick to anyone!

I am so happy I found out about Lucky Pic. This is hands-down the best guitar repair shop in Maryland. These guys are all super nice and know what they are doing. They will take the time to talk to you and don't make you feel dumb for asking questions. Can't give a higher recommendation. Thanks guys!!

If you play your instrument, over time it will require maintenance ... period. I've been playing a lot over the past couple of years, and my Martin GPCPA1, which is the best playing/sounding instrument I've owned in my ... more decades than I care to mention ... needed some work. Fret wear, fingerboard ... just not as nice to play as it once was. I dropped it off for Keirn to look and make his recommendation. We discussed a variety of options, from crowning the frets to re-fretting the first five. He's the pro. I told him to do whatever he thought was best.

I gave him carte blanche to do anything. I've worked with luthiers in the past who would take that literally, and immediately jump to the most expensive alternative. The difference here is trust in Keirn's integrity. He crowned the frets and leveled everything. It plays like a dream, and the bill was embarrassingly reasonable.

A craftsman with skill, knowledge, honesty and integrity is hard to find. Need guitar work? Look no further.

(31) Keirn, Brandon, and Tom have been doing amazing work here at Lucky Pick. They have worked on most of my guitars. Keirn has done some amazing refinishing work for some of my guitars, too as I can't seem to ever leave well enough alone. =P I consider them my friends as I've gotten to know them over the years since Keirn started Lucky Pick. I'm very much looking forward to Keirn's return and being back to good health.

Tom and the staff took great care to get my '73 P-Bass wired. It was finished the same day I dropped it off! How often does that happen? Great work guys!
I will tell all my band mates. mj

Dropped off my Jazz master for a a new paint job that came out excellent. Looked straight from the factory. Keirns work is by far the most professional I've experienced.

Fantastic work at a price that left me feeling embarrassed it was so reasonable. Wow. I learned a lot and highly recommend Lucky Pick; it is such a pleasure to find people who do great work, take pride in that, and treat you well. Well worth the drive from Mercersburg.

Dropped my fretless Jazz bass off last Saturday and Keirn dropped the action making it so easy to play. Never thought the strings could be set up that low and not have a buzz. Thanks so much for making this my new favorite bass to play!! My fretted bass will be coming to you very soon for the same treatment.

Yes, it is amazing what re-surfacing a fingerboard can do for a fretless instrument . . . Glad you can enjoy it once again.
